What Does P3000 Code Mean?

OBD-II Code P3000 is defined as a Manufacturer Controlled DTC

The Battery Smart Module monitors the High Voltage Battery's State Of Charge. If the High Voltage Battery's state of charge decreases and is unable to recharge itself during normal operating procedures, the Battery Control Module will set code P3000. Low fuel level may also cause this code to set.

Common Problems That Trigger the P3000 Code

• Fuel level is too low
• High voltage battery assembly failure
• High voltage battery is not sufficiently charged
