What Does P1000 Code Mean?

OBD-II Code P1000 is defined as a Manufacturer Controlled DTC

In order to meet EPA emissions standards, the engine computer (PCM) must complete multiple self-checks known as readiness monitors. If the PCM has not yet been able to complete all the monitors since the last time any codes were cleared, any repairs were made, or the battery was disconnected, code P1000 may set. in order for this code to clear, the vehicle must be driven until all monitors are completed.

  • Vehicle failed emissions testing due to incomplete emissions monitors
