and inspecting the
fluid
every 30,000 miles. If the fluid is dark or burned then the
transmission system
should be completely
flushed
.
I have a 2004 Saturn vue I bought it used last year but I read that the transmission fluid should be checked and if needed changed as well but my Saturn vue doesn't have a transmission dipstick so how can I check the transmission fluid myself with out having to take it to a mechanic?

Bought car used w/o research,shortly after buying it started making loud grinding noise from transmission. After having fluid changed the noise stopped but would not go into gear w/o a hard jerk after pressing gas pedal 3or4 times. So decided to do another fluid chg. and added tran-x additive at same time. Not 3 days later vehicle was stuck in 1st gear & jst rev's & will not shift to higher gear. Is there any rec. yu can make that mite help me to fix this poss???
