The second generation of Saturn Vue was unveiled in 2007 at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, being entirely based on a car concept presented the year before at the New York international Auto Show.

First launched in 2002, Saturn Vue received a facelift in 2005 when multiple exterior and interior parts were upgraded.

The 2001 Saturn Vue is the first generation of the 4-door SUV which is said to the Saturn's best-seller until the company came out with the Aura model.
