1992 Buick Riviera The Trunk Lid Won't Close Due to Trunk Pull Down Switch Failure

The trunk pull down switch may fail causing the trunk lid not to close completely. Our technicians tell us that the failed switch can be replaced without changing the complete pull down motor assembly.

    I'm still troubleshooting my issue, but the rear trunk lid will latch but will not pull down. I do not know enough about the system yet to diagnose what the actual problem is as of yet. I've taken q-tips and cleaned around the wires. I've also checked the fuse panel. the fuses are good.
