initially smelled gas outside driver side at hood later began hesitating at speeds of 40-55 miles per hr-like wanted to pull backwards. later began stalling at lights or after stopping and then restarting. could drive 2 or more wks with no problem-then would start back again and got worse-began stalling sporadically on interstate at 65-70 miles per hr. then began not restarting for days. then later would start. changed air flow sensor-crankshaft sensor-tuned up-tried new computer-no fix-new coil pack-no fix-new ignition parts-no fix-egr-no fix.

Stall while driving. The longer it sits? The LESS the stall issue occurs and when the stall issue begins to occur the start turns over easily. The longer distance the more stalling - while driving! or stopped! no supper! no indicator lights! no rhyme or reason! it becomes more and more difficult to start again. My question is specifically is would it be the fuel pump pressure dropping out due to heating up? The car sat a year when purchased and the stall-out issue began to show up on the 2nd day i drove it to work and lunch etc. By the end of the first week it became cumbersome and questionable if i could even reach my destintion. Changed fuel filter and the issue improved, not resolved. Car sat for 6 weeks and drove 7 miles without stalling. The following day the car was back to critical-issue!
