OBD-II Code P2279 is defined as a Intake Air System Leak
The engine's control module ((PCM) uses multiple sensors to determine how much air is flowing through the engine at any given time. If the PCM sees more air flowing through the engine than should be when the throttle plate is closed (at idle), the PCM will set code P2279.
