2008 Saturn Vue Check Engine Light and Trouble Filling Gas Tank

The 2008 and 2009 Saturn Vue is known to have issues with the EVAP system, a part of your emission control system.

The EVAP canister vent valve or valve solenoid wiring may fail causing illumination of the check engine light , setting code P0446 , and problems filling the tank with fuel.

To correct the issue, the EVAP canister vent valve , solenoid, and wiring must be inspected. The most common fix is replacement of the wiring connector or replacement of the vent valve assembly.

Service engine light came on, my car doesn't want to start right off when I just fill with gas. Was told it's an evap code and no biggy. Aamaco did a smoke test and said it was a bad gas cap. They replaced it and 2 days later light came back on. So if it was no big deal i drove it as is. Well today I got the loss of power indicator and my car barely would go. It cleared when I turned it off and waited 10 seconds and turned it on. Wondering if a bad or dirty trottle body is really my problem

The check engine light is on, the car is running great. Only issue is when I put in gas, it does not want to start. Tried removing the cap and starting without fueling, and it starts fine??
