Some of the most common issues with the 2011 ford explorer backup camera include not working properly, not showing your blind spot and the camera not turning on properly. if your ford explorer has a backup camera that is not working, here are the most common causes and how to troubleshoot them.one of the most common causes of a bad back up camera in the ford explorer is a bad fuse. the first time that you experience a bad fuse, it should be cause for concern, but not alarm. go ahead and install a new fuse, and if the problem goes away youre good to go. if the problem persists, then its time to look at the possibility that you have a short-circuit.

Mine recently started acting up about a month ago. would occasionally give me a black screen with a "see dealership" error message, but would still randomly work correctly. now i get a mostly grayscale image that is laterally mirrored for whatever reason, with no parking guides or anything. still detects when i am about to back into something, but annoying enough that i should probably look into getting it fixed. up to this point, it was working just fine though.
