Not yet fixed. This has been an intermittent problem. When clunking we also note that the transmission does not shift into overdrive or high gear. When we hit a snowbank or something the problem will often stop and everything will work great for a while. Don't know what starts the clunking problem again. My mechanic has been going over the car for several days and has been unable to find out what the problem is. Took it in to him about three weeks ago but the problem had quite for a while and he could not make it start again. This intermittent problem started at the same time we had to have the heater blower motor replaced (coincidence?).

clunking shift from park into drive or reverse. Kill switch on battery works fine but aremoval of 12v from computer may do the dame thing in clearing memory on computer.

Every morning i go out to get into the car there"s a puddle of transmission fluid on the ground.I have talen it to the shop and he says he need to drop the trans, to correct the problem. Well, the problem with that is, is that i can't afford to pay that to fix it.I'm looking to have it repaired somewhere cheaper. If you hjave any suggestions please let me know.
