U started notice a problem that if you drive for a certain amount of time at the same speed, my rpms start to jump around like 500rpm up then back to normal, but putting into cvt mode, it goes up the 500rpm. I was told i might need a new tranny, is that true?

I went to Advanced Auto, to make a "scanning" and the scan shows a code: # p0725 and PO868 they told me that is a TRANSMISSION PROBLEM.this problem has a RECALL?? lancer 2008thanks

Driving home from work. Got on the highway and found the car won't shift past 3rd gear. The car woundn'the excesses 45mph. Took it to a local garage and was told the transmission was cooked. Also took the car to a second garage and was told the same thing. The car hasn'the been fixed yet.

6 years of owning the car had no problems. all services done as per log book.yesterday major vibrations suddenly on the highway about 5 mins after setting out. gearbox was shuddering through all changes, but then caught in traffic so drove quite slow to a service centre. it was getting worse during this time but noplaces to pull over. car would not reverse into carport after being towed home

My car would not go forward and would only go backwards a little bit then it went into Limp mode. It would keep telling me I was going to fast. So I needed to turn the car off and then back on. It would run awhile and then do the same thing again. Now it won't move at all and I had it towed to a garage where they told me the transmission was gone. They were very surprised at this. They researched it on line and stated that there is tons of similar issues with other Mitsubishi Lancer owners.
