SRS warning light comes on, but MOSTLY goes out when I move the driver's seat forward/backward electrically. I have had this problem for some time. I have just recently learned from a Mitsubishi dealer that if this light illuminates, ALL AIRBAGS ARE INOPERATIVE. Apparently, the SIDE AIRBAG MODULE [ inserted in/near driver's seat ] controls the successful operation of ALL AIRBAGS [ in front of passenger & side airbag, steering wheel airbag & side airbag ]. Today, the mitsubishi dealer's mechanic cleaned the electical contacts under the driver's seat and the SRS light is no longer evident on the panel. However, their diagnosis/fix is that if the SRS warning light comes on again, then the SIDE AIRBAG MODULE needs to be replaced [ about AU$ 1000.00 + ]. Obviously a DESIGN FAULT when a faulty SIDE AIRBAG MODULE can disable those airbags pertinent to a "head-on" collision [ front of passenger/steering wheel ]. Nev Duus Tewantin
