fuel pump went out, fuel gauge was working fine, changed to new style ac delco fuel pump with new connector . finally got pump in tank and secured with locking ring. pump works fuel gauge does not. gives low fuel light but tank is nearly full. appears the gauge in the dash gets energized but doesn't read the correct amount.

Fuel gauge sporadically reads empty when less than half a tank if gas is present. 6 june 2017. Not fixed yet, but will be buying new fuel pump shortly to try to remedy solution.

SAME PROBLEM WITH ERRATIC FUEL LEVELS, SHUT TRUCK OFF AND RESTART, GUAGE REGISTERS A DIFFERENT LEVEL EACH TIME WHEN THERE IS ONE QUARTER OR LESS. MY SOLUTION IS KEEP IT HALF FULL EACH TIME AND GET OVER IT. 205.000KMS I WILL CHANGE ITHWEN THE PUMP GOES.
