1996 Intake Manifold Gaskets May Leak Coolant or Engine Oil

The intake manifold gasket may develop and external engine oil or coolant leak. In some cases, an internal coolant leak may occur causing coolant to mix with the engine oil. Running the engine with a coolant/oil mix may result in engine damage. Replacing the intake manifold gasket should correct this issue.

    Manifold gasket leak, caused by dexcool antifreeze in 2004 at 70,000 miles, Flush system changed to green anitfreeze. have not had problem since. Now 2014 125,000 mile. Other issues. strange noise from drive-train found drive shaft to be the issue, CV joints changed out to "U" joints no more problem. Fuel pumps on fourth one, 3 of which were on warranty. Motor mounts at 81,000 again at 101,000. Third door handle 3 GM factory replacements went on line found a aluminum after market type which fixed the problem.also same issue with reclining seat handle.Found at the same on line site. Replace control arm bushings at 100,000. On going problem with window regulators both sides.in process of fixing now.
