I have had a permanent check engine light for years now. Both dealers I took it to could not get it to stay cleared. two additional private garages gave up after several attempts. Chrysler NEVER made us aware of any new software available. I just have to keep spending a few extra hundred dollars every year when I go to get it inspected. It was a great vehicle for the first 5 years.

At first it was fine when we purchased it,then on our way home the check engine light came on.Turned around and went back to the garage and the mechanic said that it was because the durango had not been driven so much so some dust or something might have entered into the exhaust system causing the light to come on..He switched the sensor and the light went off..Then 2 hours later it came on again..So we have tried having it checked and turned off but our next step it to replace this sensor again!!!
