Car sits overnight and the battery is dead in the morning. Not every morning though. If it sits more than 8 or 9 hours, it will not start. If it sits 4 hours, it will start every time. Put new battery in it and when hooking up the ground cable, there is a large spark just like the head lights are on and it is drawing a lot on the battery. But the lights are not on.

Car wouldn't start first week of December 2017. I took it to the local shop and they said the battery was bad. Battery was replaced and six days later the batter was dead. I took it back to the shop and they stated the battery was fine but replaced it anyway. Battery was dead a week later. I took it to another shop and they said it was a aftermarket remote start. They removed it and the battery was dead again. Took and back and they stated it was the aftermarket stereo. I had the stereo replaced and the batter was dead again. I have no clue what to do now and the car has only been driven back and fourth to the local shop due to this problem! The car is a 2014 Dodge Avenger.
