2011 Dodge Avenger Check Engine Light Due to Speed Sensor Issue

A defective vehicle speed sensor can cause problems with the cruise control and speedometer operation , as well as erratic shifting. The connectors on the sensors are also susceptible to corrosion, which will create similar symptoms. Any of these problems can cause check engine light illumination.

    My speedometer,odometer, cruise control, compass- all do not work! AWD! Light stays on. No mechanic knows where the problem is and I'm very frustrated. Checked fuses but have no clue not can I get info online on how to locate sensors on my vehicle. If someone could help that would be awesome!!

    Well lightsbused to flicker then just stopped then came the point of speedometer going 60 to 0 I have video of it and having to shake fuse box to get car to start and now wiring harness got tore out after a bad blow out and insurance company says not totalled
