Dodge recalled all Avengers but the RT. Car started on fire at the positive jump terminal while driving. Had the car tested numerous of times only to be told there is a serge and they cant find the cause. We lost the cruise control, horn,fuel gauge, Ac and sometimes the radio. Its been nothing but a headache since day 1 and warranty didn't cover it. I am hoping this could be the problem as we have replaced fuses, fuel pump, battery and battery cable assembly , spark plugs and still get a low voltage reading. Now the car will crank over but will not fire. ready to give up

Car will *not* start when its raining outside at all. Any condensation that gets in the engine compartment causes distributor and wires to fail to spark. Changing distributor and wires/plugs eliminated the problem.

Vehicle makes loud clicking sound, like timing belt tightening, after start. Check engine light turned on and Jiffy Lube tech ran diagnostic that fired "Intake Position Sensor"... currently looking for a mechanic to repair. Car currently runs, but I'm definitely limiting my driving until I can get repaired.

I have multiple components replaced on this car including the battery, alternator, breaks, rotors, ball bearings...all of it. STILL can't find why this car rough idles and dies at stop lights ONLY when it rains hard. It will start right back up again after putting it in park but it's a pain in the ass.
