The whole instrument panel would go out and when it came back on the gauges would be moving back and forth. I took it to dealership they said they reset the panel. It worked for a few days then went out and has not came back on. I have not clue how fast I'm going or how much gas is in the tank.

Cluster turns on and off at different times:-fuel gauge drops & low fuel light illuminates then it will correct itself-security light will illuminate after alternating with low fuel light-mileage & gear selector will go from not working to working-ABS light stays illuminated-trans temp & temp gauges will go from not working to workingSent cluster to AER Technologies (where the GM dealers send their clusters for repair) and bought an exchange unit - same result. Had them repair the original unit and cluster still has the same problem. Does anyone know what's going on? The dealer says it's the cluster. AER says it tests out okay ..!

My Instrument panel was coming in and out. Now it does not come on at all. I have no idea how fast I'm going or how much gas I have. I had to stop driving the vehicle until I can find out what Is wrong. I am currently researching a cheaper way to fix it then to have to replace it.

I had this problem and GM refused to fix because I had over 50K miles. I had to pay out of my packet to have this problem repaired. I am not upset because some defective parts were installed but they refused to have it fixed. Never will buy GM. They must understand its their problem passed on to a customer

Speedo needle eratic and then stopped working altogether. Bought speedo servo kit and replaced all instrument cluster servos. Re-installed.

I have the same issue. In fact, the dash was dead when I bought it. The dealer promised to fix it, but after I took possession of the vehicle, they put the burden of getting a rental and paying out of pocket for reimbursement on me. End result...I have not had it fixed. My truck is now well over 225,000 miles, but according to Carfax the problem of not being able to read the odometer occurred prior to 100,000 miles. GM should have recalled this dashboard years ago for defective parts.
