Auto headlights turn off when driving in the dark. I can turn them back on manually but for the few seconds of pitch of dark driving at 60 mph it is dangerous.

My Headlight switch first wouldn't automatically turn on with the Twilight Sensor and then when activated manually, they work, but the panel and tail lights go out after a couple minutes then after maybe 5-7 minutes, all come back on again but DON'T TOUCH THEM or you'll be outta luck! If the lights have been on and all working (when cold) turned off and then back on again, the head lights work but again, not the panel or tail lights.I found another switch in a junk yard car and all was OK for about 3 years and it failed again. Another junk, yard switch worked for about 15 minutes and it failed as well in a similar (not identical) manner.Auto Zone carries them but 300 BUCKS (after tax)!!! It is not available new anywhere else I can find and certainly not for less. BUT, it's on order and it is for the FOG LIGHT equipped version. Not sure It'll work but the only external difference is the extra connector for the fog lights I don't have. I'll find out tomorrow if it works.

In my case, the intermittent and unpredictable headlamp outage problem was solved by replacing a corroded/worn out HEADLAMP RELAY with a new relay in the UNDERHOOD RELAY CENTER located on the driver side of the engine compartment. Relay part number: AC DELCO D1780C. The headlight switch was not the problem as originally thought.
