2006 Cadillac DTS Misfire Due to Failed Ignition Coil

An ignition coil may fail causing one of the cylinders to misfire . Each of the two banks of cylinders has its own coil assembly. If one ignition coil fails the coil assembly for the corresponding cylinder bank must be replaced.

    This is actually the second time this has happened .. Had a diagnostics done cause car idle was rough almost shaking and check engine and check stabilitrak light binging

    misfire found in one cyclider...replaced 2 ignition coils so far, spark plugs twice, and all oil gaskets in the engine...Over $ 5K into fixes and it's having the same issue again.

    Engine was misfiring. Took to shop where cylinder one coil was verified as needing replaced. Once replaced, misfiring stopped.

    I was receiving a code for the cylinder 5 so replaced the coil pack on top but not the other was working fine went up to my local mountain hangout worked fine later that day drove to the movies no issues leaving the movies made a turn and car stalled would not turn back on got it towed back to my house put a obd2 on it n now gave me a p1682 code ive changed the ignition switch, and pwr trn relay next option would be the ecm which is very expensive n hope i womt have to do that so hopefully i dont any help or advice is much appreciated thanks!!
