Service engine light keeps coming on. Code indicates p0741 and p1860. I am being told transmission needs to be removed so the harness and solenoids can be repaired. there are no other symptoms or any problems so I am researching.

replaced new tranny figuring the car was nice and could keep it around as a family vacationer po741 was initial problem, knowing it was probably just the solenoid decided on a whole tranny job anyway. the car got rear ended hence uninspectable at 100,000 miles but the warranty ran out while in shop.I did not realize this the warranty was three year 100,000 thousand miles Cadillac would not honor their warranty even at 40,000 miles and ran over time due to being worked on. Mechanic estimates another 3800 bucks to rebuild a new tranny because of this stupid solenoid Is class action a possibility? I cant believe it. Also car runs beautiful a little oil usage but I know this is common. This is Cadillac dirty little secret THE PART IS A 14-17 DOLLAR PART AND THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE IT IS A TRANNY TORQUE CONVERTER PROBLEM. U-TUBE HAS A COUPLE OF VIDEOS ON HOW TO UNCONVENTIONALLY FIX THIS BUT IT'S NOT EASY,BUT CAN BE DONE THIS IS THE THIRD TIME FOR MY 2000 MODEL, ALL IT IS IS A SOLENOID PART.ALSO EMISSIONS CHECK FAILS THIS, BUT IT DOESN'T STOP THE MIGHTY NORTHSTAR MOTOR FROM LEAKING COPULAS AMOUNTS OF OIL!WHICH IS WHY WE HAVE EMISSIONS CHECK TO SAVE THE PLANET AT THE EXPENSE OF RIPPED OF CONSUMERS!this is the result of a 17 dollar solenoid, can be accessed through a panel on tranny see u tube videos caddilac wont even acknowledge this 8 model year multi model problem that has an uncanny nack of avoiding warranties!!!!!!!!

TCC makes check engine lite come on and the car will not pass inspection. This problem SHOULD BE on the Factory Recall List
