1994 Cadillac DeVille Fuel Level Sensor Failure

It is common for the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank read the fuel level incorrectly. The sensor must be replaced to correct the condition. Our technicians recommend having the complete fuel pump module replaced on high mileage vehicles.

    Fuel Level doesn't show correct amount of fuel. We just use the single trip gage and on the information panel we also use 'fuel used' and reset it when we fill up the car. Works for us!

    Problem just started all of a sudden last June. Fuel gauge shows full when filled, then drops to 1/2 tank as it is used, then starts to go back up to full as the tank gets low. Have been setting trip button every time I fill up and add more fuel when I have gone about 250 miles. Plan to replace the fuel filter.
