Engine stalls anywhere-freeway at speed or city trafic. After 25-30 minutes it will restart and run for various amounts of time-15 minutes to 45 minutes.

Stalls when idling, when coming to a stop, and when i go around turns. I have fixed this problem before with gas treatment (Seafoam to be exact) but the problem is back and the treatment hasn't worked the second time.

My vehicle is a 2005 Buick LaCrosse CXS. When fuel up the vehicle it acts like it is flooded and will not start. Once it sets for about 20 minutes it starts and then the engine revs between 2 and 3 RPMS up and down. After you drive it the first time after filling the tank it would act normal again until the next fill up with gas. The dealership said it was a crankshaft sensor, after market gas cap and vent cylanoid back by the gas tank.

The car shuttered while driving 70 MPH and did not do again until a month later. The second time the car would quit and I would pull to the side of the road and it started immediately. The next two times it stop while driving it took longer to start, so i decided to change my fuel pump thinking it was the problem. It stop once more before I brought it to the shop and so far (1100 miles later) the crankshaft sensor fixed it and I have not had any problems since. I forgot to mention I also tried cleaning the mass air flow before changing sensor and that did not work either.Note: Thanks for online searching; I requested the shop change the sensor with the valuable information I read online.

Yesterday my wife drove car to work and told me she though that the fuel pump was failing. TODAY (2 14 2011) I put the scan tool on the car and after much testing it look as if the Map sensor has a problem. Will add more info after the problem is resolved.

car will occasionally stall on startup. once in gear it 'bucks' and hesitates upon low shift (rpms to under about 1250) during acceleration mostly when stressed, i.e. proceeding upgrade/uphill. usually happens after car's warm/been running. haven't been able to resolve prob after 2 mechanic shops. otherwise drives fine on highwy shifting well. already replaced idle control valve, air intake temp sensor, and air filter and cleaned MAF (mass air flow) sensor.

Same problem, happened after I ran out of gas (or perhaps coincidence) ended up being the MAP sensor, even after that it still ran kind of rough and I get intermittent O2 sensor light. I believe it's clogged fuel injectors as well, and a problem with the Catalytic converter
