OBD-II Code Transmission may not shift properly is defined as a Shift Fork "B" Position Circuit Range/Performance

The Transmission is responsible for converting the power produced by the engine to movement of the vehicle. Some transmissions utilized electric motors to change gears. If the Transmission Control Module determines that the transmission is not shifting properly, code P2837 will be set.
