Sensor failure inside the distributor can cause intermittent stalling or a failure to start. In addition, the wires to the distributor are susceptible to internal damage, which can cause the same symptoms.

  • Wet Carpet Due to Plugged Evaporator Drain

The carpet under the right side of the dash may become wet with water. This can be caused by the AC evaporator drain being plugged with debris. Our technicians tell us that once the drain is clear, a cabin air filter should be installed to keep debris out.

  • HVAC Output Temperature Rault

Warm air only may be discharged from the AC system due to a faulty infrared temperature sensor.

  • PCM reflash for various transmission issues

Delayed engagement and/or a bump or shudder between 30-40mph may be noted on vehicles with automatic transmissions . Our technicians tell us that updated Powertrain Control Module software is available to correct these concerns.

  • Head Gasket May Fail Prematurely

There have been reports of premature head gasket failure; an updated gasket design is available to correct this problem.

  • Dead battery due to internal radio fault

A weak or dead battery may be caused by the radio not powering down correctly. If the backlight is flickering every 20 seconds that would confirm the fault and the radio would need to be replaced.

Vehicles equipped the ESP/Traction control system can be overly sensitive, activating on tight turns unnecessarily. Our technicians advise us that there is upgraded software available for the Anti-lock Brake control module to correct this concern.

  • Check Engine Light Due to Speed Sensor Issue

A defective vehicle speed sensor can cause problems with the cruise control and speedometer operation , as well as erratic shifting. The connectors on the sensors are also susceptible to corrosion, which will create similar symptoms. Any of these problems can cause check engine light illumination.

  • Cleaner/Disinfectant Issued to Address Musty Odor in AC System

Some vehicles may develop a musty odor coming from the HVAC system, Dodge has issued a cleaner/disinfectant and a coating for the evaporator designed to inhibit bacterial growth.
