You will have two options to reset the security system on your 2013 kia optima. the first will be to put the key in the ignition and put the vehicle in to the on position. now hold down the lock button on your key fob for several seconds until the lights flash on your dashboard. it should now be reset. if this doesn't work or you don't have access to your key fob you'll need to try this second option. open up the hood and disconnect the battery from the vehicle. you'll need to wait 10 to 30 minutes and then reconnect the battery. the vehicle will now be restored completely to it's factory settings.
