What is the 2009 ford ranger oil capacity?

Scott L. January 22, 2021

If you've got the 2009 ford ranger with a 2.3 l engine then you will need 4 quarts of synthetic 5w-20 motor oil and if you have the 4.0 l v6 engine you will need 5 quarts of synthetic 5w-30 oil. if you do a lot of driving in extremely cold climates you can switch that 5w-30 to a 0w-30 but try to avoid ever using5w-20 as the oil pump in the 4.0 l engine doesn't keep the pressure up very well with that engine weight. you will want to be replacing your oil every 5,000 to 7,500 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. -

The 2009 ford ranger can hold between 4.5, and 5 quarts of oil in the engine but it depends on the engine.
