Up to its fifth generation, the Bronco was now built with safety in mind, the body now having crumple zones, seatbelts for the rear seats and driver-side airbags.

1987 - 1991

For its third generation, the Bronco received a new drivetrain and a more aerodynamic body, that was still buiit on the same F-Series-inspired platform.

1980 - 1986

Part of the Third generation Bronco, the 1980 model was still based on the F-Series platform but with a few modifications that made it shorter.

1978 - 1979

The 1978 model of the Bronco was the second generation with a platform based on the F-100.

1966 - 1977

First of the five generations of the Ford Bronco, the model that came out in 1966 was a competitor for the Jeep CJ-5 and International Harverster Scout.
