The 2013 kia optima is equipped with wheel sensors that monitor tire pressure. maintaining the correct psimakes for safer driving and better fuel economy. to reset the tpms, park the car on a flat surface and using a gauge, inflate tires to a psi of 34-35. with the doors locked and windows rolled up, turn the key in the ignition to the "on" position. locate the tpms reset button on the lower right portion of the steering wheel. depress it until the light flashes three times. turn on the vehicle. wait a few more seconds while the system records the new pressure of each tire then turn the ignition off. restart the car and the tpms warning should be switched off.
