If your backup camera is not working in a ford taurus then there are a few things you will want to check before replacing the camera completely. first thing to do is make sure that your software is up to date in your infotainment system. an out of date system may be more likely to freeze up and give you problems with your camera. ialso suggest that you take a look at the wiring to the back of your head unit to make sure none is loose. if all of that is okay then you will need to replace the camera. simply remove the panel on the inside of the trunk that covers the lid. then you can unscrew the camera housing from inside the trunk and slide it out. after that you can install a new camera and connect it to the existing wire harness.
