The 2019 Infiniti QX60 is one of the better-handling luxury SUVs on the market, but it does sacrifice the softer ride and lighter steering input preferred by some buyers. We think it’s an acceptable trade-off so long as the road remains fairly smooth. Infiniti has taken a rather aggressive approach toward the QX60’s suspension tuning, a bonus when speeding through winding back roads and mountain passes, but a bit of a drawback when encountering rough or pothole-packed pavement. The 295-horsepower V6 is admirable in both its ability to move the QX60 and its fuel consumption. We find it odd that while driver-assist systems such as collision avoidance and lane-departure warning are now standard, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams remain extra-cost options. We’d also like to see a few more features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as more power adjustments for the front-passenger seat.

PREDICTIVE FORWARD-COLLISION WARNING Always one step ahead, or in this case, one car length, the 2019 Infiniti QX60’s Predictive Forward-Collision Warning system is able to detect sudden braking situations that occur two cars up. In doing so, the system can help increase the emergency-braking system’s activation. DISTANCE CONTROL ASSIST This useful feature works by keeping a safe distance between your vehicle and the one ahead. Not only does Distant Control Assist help prevent unwanted fender-benders, it also takes some of the stress out of dealing with stop-and-go traffic.

If you’re looking for a modern interior as handsome as it is comfortable, look no further than the 2019 Infiniti QX60. There’s plenty of room in all three rows, although the rearmost seat is still best suited for kids. Access to the third row is made a bit easier thanks to a 2nd-row seat that can be moved fore and aft. We’d really like to see more power adjustments for the front-passenger seat; however, at the very least power lumbar support. Leatherette seating surfaces look and feel like the real thing, but genuine leather can be had for an additional $ 3,000.

The 2019 Infiniti QX60's rounded, sleek design wears the company’s signature headlight-and-grille design, which works well with the overall design. The side view shows a gently sloping roof, but that design doesn’t negatively affect the QX60's impressive interior room. One of the key styling cues of the QX60 is the bowed window frame at the back of the side windows. A smaller version of this design detail can also be seen on Infiniti's stunning Q60 coupe. In back, the power-operated tailgate, which comes standard, makes it easier to load and unload gear and groceries.

Buyers expect a luxury SUV to come equipped with a bevy of standard features, so it comes as no surprise that even the least expensive QX60 Pure is nicely appointed. Included are heated, power-folding side mirrors, a power moonroof and a power liftgate. Inside, all QX60s come with a Leatherette interior with heated and power-adjustable front seats, acoustic front windows, Intelligent Key with push-button start, tri-zone temperature control, Bluetooth and USB ports, power tilt/telescoping steering column, rearview camera with 8-inch screen and 6-speaker AM/FM/CD audio. Standard safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, forward-emergency braking and predictive forward-collision warning.

Stepping up to the Luxe trim opens the door to a bevy of option packages. Navigation is optional, as are a 15-speaker Bose audio system, leather seating, ventilated front seats, heated seats in the second row, a motion-activated power liftgate, Wi-Fi, auto high beams, heated steering wheel, a moonroof over the second and third rows and a rear-seat entertainment package. There are also a lot of available safety features, including intelligent cruise control, lane-departure warning and prevention, and systems that can automatically apply the brakes when traveling in both forward and reverse.

Power for the 2019 Infiniti QX60 luxury-crossover SUV is provided by a 3.5-liter V6 teamed with a CVT automatic transmission. Infiniti’s D-Step logic allows the CVT to mimic the feel of gear shifts and also permits manual shifting when the driver wishes a more engaging experience. Offering better control over throttle input and transmission mapping is Infiniti’s Drive Mode Selector with settings for Standard, Sport, Eco and Snow. The QX60 is offered with front-wheel or all-wheel drive (FWD, AWD) and can tow up to 5,000 pounds. 3.5-liter V6 295 horsepower @ 6,400 rpm 270 lb-ft of torque @ 4,400 rpm EPA city/highway fuel economy: 20/27 mpg (FWD), 19/26 mpg (AWD)

The 2019 Infiniti QX60 Pure has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting just under $ 45,000. Loaded with options, a QX60 Luxe AWD can reach close to $ 65,000. At its starting price, Infiniti's 3-row luxury SUV is more expensive than the Buick Enclave, directly in line with the Acura MDX and more than $ 10,000 below such rivals as the V6-powered Audi Q7 and BMW X5. Infiniti QX60 Overview and History

For the second time, Infiniti makes significant changes to its QX60 mid-size crossover luxury SUV.
Infiniti is Nissan's luxury car division. Established in 1989 to compete on the US premium auto market alongside brands like fellow Japanese Acura and Lexus as well as European-based BMW,  Audi and BMW, Infiniti managed to create a global network in a fairly little amount of time. Its history can be traced back two decades ago when the company's first vehicles were sold.

Part of the Oriental commercial tsunami, Infiniti swept across the American land with remarkable speed but with little strength. Freshly born, it did not scream loud enough to be heard. Sales of their first model, the Q45 were fairly poor as a result of what is widely believed to have been slightly bad advertising. In attempt to draw attention to their cars, Infiniti resorted to a series of Zen-inspired commercials that showed the car very briefly or not at all in some cases.

However, Infiniti concentrated resources in a second ad campaign and production of superior quality automobiles that eventually paid off. Based on Nissan's platforms, most Infinitis are redesigned models, except their latest range which includes  the sporty G37 and the luxurious SUV FX that mark the brand's attempt of becoming a truly separate entity.

No matter how good or bad Infiniti's ad strategy was, its vehicles were truly attention worthy. The Q45 for example sported a brawny 278 hp V8 engine, four wheel steering and active suspension, all of these features having been a premiere for automobiles in its class. Meticulously executed trims and fine finishes further added to the car's overall appearance.

Even the Infiniti badge hints at the extent the company would go to develop a quality top-selling product: far. Comparisons are lost within infinity thus 'far' becomes incommensurable. The horizontal bars shaped to form a stylized highway meet somewhere close to the horizon which is never a fixed point.

Besides clever product badging and advertising, Infiniti has been striving to stay on top ever since it became a stable brand. If the car-market context of that time is to be taken into consideration, Infiniti did good considering that European markets had surpassed traditional brands like Lincoln and Cadillac.

The beginning of the 1990's saw Infiniti launching a second model, the M30 which sold rather slowly compared to the Q45. Towards the mid 90's however, Infiniti would release the QX4, a modified version of the Nissan Pathfinder, making the company the first to have sold a luxury SUV right after specialized manufacturers like Jeep and Land Rover.

After experiencing poor sales due to insufficiently developed models and wrong demographic targeting, Infiniti was nearing extension. Just like Hyundai, Infiniti did not cease to exist but instead focused on developing a newer range of vehicles that ultimately ensured the brand's survival. The marque entered a new stage in 2003 with the release of the G35, a model predating the launch of the G37, a model farther from anything Infiniti has done in the past.

The brand is presently making its way through European markets. Since its foundation, it has limitlessly grown, currently including 230 dealers in 15 countries. Its global operations have grown exponentially, having stretched form Mexico to Russia and from Ukraine to China and Taiwan. As with the majority of Japanese car makers, Infinti emphasizes the importance of technological improvements. Among the latest innovations, it has delivered the regenerative Anti Scratch Advanced Paint or ASAP as well as the Around View, an optics system that allows the driver to see a complete image of the car's surroundings.

"Great car for the cost."
I bought this for my wife for snow driving and all around driving. She loves it. It doesn't have air conditioning on the seats but the heated seats and steering wheel is a real plus. I just wish it had a better way to have a tow package other than cutting part of rear bumper. I love this car.

"Disappointed"
While there are things that draw you to this vehicle, like how nice looking it is, how quiet it is while driving, the power and the fact I had driven a minivan for 18 yrs and was very excited to have a “better” vehicle, my personal opinion is that I hope it has improved since 2016 model or keep looking. #1-A big problem I have noticed that no one mentioned is that there are no air vents for the rear passengers! You have 2 on the back of the front center console that face to the back, and that’s it! Too bad 3rd row! #2- back cup holders suck. Things fall out. #3- I’ve had endless trouble with my navigation/ information screen... which Infiniti won’t fix. After 2- 3 hours of driving screen goes buggy and nothing works on it. (FYI Infiniti navigation system stinks!) #4- I’ve had to have repairs done on trips due to vehicle issues twice in 2 years... never fun. #5- I usually take 12 hour road trips to visit family, and it is very uncomfortable everywhere. My kids even complain and everybody better pack light because there is no room for bags when you use the 3rd row. I have 5 children (13 yrs-26). Yes we still take family trips together occasionally. #6- this vehicle feels VERY heavy when you are driving it. Like a tank. I guess good and bad, but kinda sluggish when you first start even in sport mode. #7- MANY blind spots. I never feel like I can see around me well enough I completely regret this purchase and wish I could get off from under this “ luxury lemon”
