Coupe or convertible, Ford's modern muscle car seats four passengers but the rear seats are extremely tight -- and in the hard-core Shelby GT350R, nonexistent. Standard audio is an AM/FM/CD system with two USB inputs and Sync Bluetooth connectivity. Safety features include traction and stability control and front, side and knee airbags. Henry Ford started the company in 1902 with $ 28,000 in cash from twelve investors, among which were John and Horace Dodge, who would later found the Dodge Brothers Motor Vehicle Company. He was 40 years when he first established the company's first factory on Bagley Street, Detroit.
He would later incorporate the firm on June 16, 1903. Ford Motor Company would go on and label their models chronologically in alfabetical order, starting with the Model A to the Model K and Model S, which was Ford's last right-hand steering vehicle. Then, in 1908 Ford introduced the Model T, which was designed by Childe Harold Wills and two Hungarian immigrants, Joseph A. Galamb and Eugene Farkas. This model proved to be of quintessential Ford vehicle, placing the company among the most influential automotive brands in history.
The Ford Model T was reliable, practical and affordable, which made it a big hit in the US, where it was advertised as the middle-class man's vehicle. The car's success compelled Ford to expand his business and layout the basics of mass production principles in 1913 with the introduction of the world's first vehicle assembly line. By 1912, production figures for the Model T alone reached nearly 200,000 units.
This organizational innovation brought in the vehicle construction field allowed Ford to reduce chassis assembly time by as much as 10 hours, dropping from 12 ½ h to 2h 40 min.
Besides ensuring the efficiency of the production process, Ford turned his company into an interactive entity by announcing a new profit-sharing policy. This would grant buyers a cut of profits if sales reached 300,000. As expected, sales effortlessly reached the 300k threshold and went even further to hit a record 501,000 in 1915.
As part of a new set of financial tactics, Ford provided working places for the disabled who otherwise had a hard time finding a job, reduced work shifts and doubled all employee's salaries. Changes like these sparked a tremendous sales increase while also setting the base of modern working conditions.
Still, the US and Canadian market would prove to be too small to fit Ford's plans. By the mid 20's, the Ford label had crossed the ocean and reached England, France, Germany, Denmark, Austria as well as distant Australia. The company's activity on European grounds further helped the brand's revenue growth.
War would not shake the Ford company as bad as other car makers. Post WWI improvements include the introduction of four-wheel brakes and a series of new vehicle releases to match new consumer demands. In 1922 Ford entered the luxury car segment with the acquisition of the Lincoln Motor Company, named after Abraham Lincoln whom Henry Ford admired.
Ford Motor Co. was one of the few big American corporations to survive the Great Depression, although the plummeting automotive sales led the company to scale down its operations and lay off many workers. In May 1929, Ford Motor Co. signed an agreement with the Soviet Union to provide technical assistance until 1938 to construct an integrated automobile-manufacturing plant at Nizhny Novgorod, in exchange for the Soviets purchasing $ 13 million worth of automobiles and parts. Under this agreement many American engineers and skilled auto workers went in 1932 to work on the Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod (GAZ), or Gorki Automotive Plant. The few who remained in the Soviet Union after the completion of the plant fell victims to Stalin's Great Terror, ending either shot or exiled to Soviet gulags.
With the arrival of WWII Ford increased its influence on the global stage becoming an active player in the war effort, a thing underlined by US President Franklin Roosevelt referring to Detroit as the "Arsenal of Democracy." When the US War Department handed production of B-24 Liberator airplanes to Ford, the output rose to 20 airplanes per day instead of only one per day managed by the Consolidated Aircraft Corporation.
After WWII Ford continued its passenger vehicle operations and in 1955 introduced the iconic Thunderbird model. Then it introduced the Edsel brand in 1958, which proved to be a failure and was dissolved in 1960. Part Edsel's failure as an automotive brand resided in the onset of the 1957 recession in the States and the vehicle's high price tag.
Ford Motor Co. managed to get back up from its Edsel failure with the introduction of the Falcon model in 1960 and the Mustang in 1964. The company's next major step was represented by the formation of Ford Europe division in 1967.
Ford plunged into a state of brand-fatigue that would bring the company to the point of near bankruptcy. Following major sales losses in the 2000's, Ford was pinned against the wall by debts and the imminence of closing down.
Preferring to make it back on its own, Ford mortgaged all of its assets in 2006. As of then, the company has releases a variety of new models both under the Ford brand name and the rest of the sub-brands it owns such as fresher and edgier Mercuries and flashier Lincolns, Ford's luxury division. Business in Europe has also been good for Ford, especially after the introduction of the Focus model in 1997 and although it hasn't fully recovered, it's definitely on the way to regaining popularity.

I have a GT premium convertible. Wow. 28+ miles to the gallon when traveling. It’s a well built comfortable car that gets me where I want to go. The little 302 can get me out of tight spots quickly. Stock mufflers have a unique muscle car sound. Good job Ford! Btw. Most Chevies have a hard time keeping up. Just saying…

I'm not an american car guy but this car feels and handles like a european sports car around corners. Easily the best car, besides the ford GT, that ford has ever made! I can tell you that I wont be swapping this car out of my collection like I do with all of my others, something about it is truly amazing! The motor, handling, price, sounds it makes, and the looks of it are awesome. Dont just look at pics of it, go find one and see it in person like I did and you will see what I mean! I have a very good feeling that this car WILL BE a collector in the future for my reasons.

Cool Fun with practicality and value
While not the 5.0 V8 of my past Stangs, this Mustang convertible if fun to drive with plenty of pep and excellent handing. My big dogs love the top down and have plenty of room to sit (or lay down) in the back seat. I regularly get 30+ MPG on one hour drives back to my hometown and generally average 24 MPG in daily (in town) use. The convertible to is easy to use (my 75 yr old mom can do it). With the top on, the ride is quiet and rainy days and car washes have posed no issues. The premium trim and driver packages bring plenty of leather and soft touch materials, digital programmable instrument panel and safety and driver assistance. Many will pay a lot more for a luxury make and not get much more, if anything, than this car offers. Plus, owning a Mustang means something more.

A great value and fun-to-drive.
My Mustang GT Premium Convertible has been a great car to drive and I love the comfort on short trips or long drives. I have the adjustable exhaust note and it's thrilling on start-up and peaceful at highway speeds. Handling is amazing and there is plenty of power always available.
No squeaks or rattles for this convertible and the build quality was surprisingly excellent. I get a lot of comments about this car as the styling captures attention wherever I go.
The value is great and the car is fun and all my needs are met with this automobile!

This car is amazing! One problem this cars value is just way low from what I've payed for. Your telling me a 2019 Mustang GT premium from the lot cost 40k about average brand new. But the trade in value is about 10k less after just buying it. I bought this car about 2 months ago and your telling me the value dropped 10K with only 2.5k miles on it. Just a little outrageous if you ask me

2019-20 Mustang GT may be best ever
Recently purchased a 2019 Mustang GT performance package, 6 Spd. manual, in Orange Fury. I looked at all the offerings for GM and Dodge. Everyone had some things that they did better then the Mustang , but in the big picture the mustang was better in many things over the domestic offerings. This is my 8th mustang from 67 to now. Comfort and interior stylings are straight forward and really make you feel like you are in a cockpit. Seating is comfortable and the available seat cooling and heating are great. Ford should have gone to a full power seat though, don't like the manual seat back control, not enough positions. The exterior lines are flowing and beautiful. I smile every time I look at it, It's the same smile I gave my Porsche 997(a review will be forth coming). One thing that Ford needs to work on and it has been a decades long problem, is to work on fit and finish. Gaps weren't horrible , but more then, what is expected of a car of this price range. The things that make the Mustang GT are the engine and the engine sound. 460HP gets it where it needs to be in a hurry and the exhaust sound is music to a car guys ears. The MT82 trans is one of the let downs on this car, as it can be a bit buzzy and 2nd gear engagement is not clean like on the Camaro's Tremec transmission, the same trans in the GT350, as well. Wish Ford would have used this trany on the 5.0's. The trans though is not a deal breaker and my plan is to refill it with some Royal Purple Synchromax fluid, which is supposed to help with the buzz. Handling and braking are great and the car corners great and stops on a dime. The Gt performance package does a lot to make the car feel planted on the road. From what I have heard the magnaride though is the bomb. Overall, I would give it a two thumbs to anyone wanting a great sports car.

Well as the title implies this is my 8th Mustang, I traded a 2007 Porsche Carrera, for this 2019 GT Premium, with manual transmission and adaptive exhaust, GT performance pack 1, 401A package, in Orange Fury. Since I have had years from 1967, to a slew of FOX bodys, an SN95, a 2014 and now this. I have to give Ford props. This is the first Mustang that I just love the way it is. I could not do a single mod and love it just the same. The exhaust tone is perfect, no drone and just motor music. The interior is comfortable, and I'm no small guy. The technology is just fun from Nav, selectable exhaust , steering and overall instrument themes adjustability. The 5.0 is just a dream to drive. Lots of power, and the torque allows you to not have to shift up and down so much. Shifting is clean , just a little soft on the second gear. I went with orange fury, the color is a head turner. AS, I said at the beginning this replaced my Carrera and the ride feel between these cars is night and day. The Porsche was light and nimble the Mustang is heavier and you can feel the push in turns.

If you line up every car that's $25,000 or less on the MSRP ,UNLEASH THEM IN A RACE....Mustang out performs them all with 310 bhp with 370 lbs of torque. I did the homework,nothing in this price range compares.

Who doesn’t love a Mustang
I was looking for something sporty that I can use as a daily driver that didn’t have as stiff a ride as my outgoing Subaru WRX. I was drawn to the mustang for several reasons, but one was the current incentives. Once I test drove the car, I just fell in love with it. Awesome classic Mustang styling both on the interior and exterior. I love the 8 inch infotainment screen with the Apple CarPlay and voice activation. I choose a package with with all season Goodyear F1 tires and upgraded rims with black inlay over chrome . Great ride quality.

drag. I got a great deal on a 19 left over. 5k off sticker. 0% financing for 72 months.

That's a lot of PERFORMANCE for only $ 26,000 bucks
So out of the blue I decided to get a 2019 Mustang 2.3 coupe. I was not even considering a Mustang,but a great deal fell into my lap , and now I'm Pony boy...fun to drive with a lot of curb appeal. I don't want to here how the back seats are cramped,in this segment of cars all back seats have short comings....Besides the awesome performance, I was really surprised how well the fuel economy is in this beast, I avg 22 MPG overall, that's only 2 milles less per gallon then my prevoius car that had only 170 hp vs. the Stang at 310 hp.One more surprise, a huge trunk....PONY BOY OVER AN OUT.

I have owned performance cars for over 50 years, but nothing compares to this. It's like 1968 all over again. Lots of fun, insane power and surprising handling. It was also a blast to run through the gears again.

This car is flat out amazing. Handling, mileage, power, styling. It's grin inspiring and we are about to buy our 3rd Mustang for the family!
Once you drive one, you'll understand. The 10 speed auto trans is how we went, with the turbo 4, and it is amazing!
The car does 13.75 in the 1/4 mile, bone stock. No tune etc. Straight off the show room floor. Then, with a bit of tweaking, and very little cash invested, it now does 12.78 1/4's at 106 mph. CAI added, 3inch stainless exhaust added and a tune from a local tuner shop - all told, 2k more invested than spent (paid $ 24,500 off the lot.) - Seriously could not be happier. It flys, gets amazing mileage and with MBRP exhaust, sounds awesome.
