Does the 2017 ford explorer have door lock problems?

John C. December 15, 2020

If you're experiencing locking issues with your 2017 ford explorer it could need repair to the lock actuator, or a new battery for your key fob.as you might imagine, a door lock actuator plays a vital role in your ability to lock and unlock the doors to your vehicle. if a door lock actuator ever goes bad, it could make it difficult, if not impossible, to lock and unlock a car door. with that being said if your lock actuator ever does need to be replaced the repair is reasonably priced. the average cost for door lock actuator replacement is between $ 280 and $ 330. labor costs are estimated between $ 90 and $ 110 while parts are priced between $ 200 and $ 220.

Have a 2017 explorer both front door locks don’t work. crazy that this happens to so many people and it’s cost a fortune to get it fixed.

I’ve had constant issues with the driver door. sometimes it works, sometimes it won’t. ford won’t fix it unless it’s consistent.

My passenger rear door is stuck in the middle and won’t go down or up. i can here it try to move so wonder if the rod is stuck. i can’t get the door open to take the door panel off so i’m stuck at this point.

It would appear they do. i've replaced the passenger front and driver rear in the four years we've had the vehicle.
