In order to reset the check engine light you're going to first need to put the key in the ignition but leave it in the off position. now use both feet and press down on the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time. while keeping both pedals held down you're now going to want to move the ignition in to the run position. you will now start to see some lights blinking on your instrument panel. once you see the service indicator light flash and go away you can now take your feet off the pedals and turn the vehicle off. you should now be able to turn the ignition back on and your light should be gone.
